Edgewater Group LLC is pleased to welcome Chris Veno as an Advisor. With 35 years in the insurance and employee benefits industry, Chris brings diverse skills and experiences to the team and will help champion continued growth and diversity for the company. He has been an investor in Edgewater Group and its affiliated funds and private placements for a decade.

Previously, Chris served as co-founder and Co-CEO of Trion, a national provider of employee benefits consulting, brokerage, and administration services. Trion grew to be the nation’s largest privately-held employee benefits only firm and was acquired by Marsh & McLennan Companies (“Marsh”) in 2010. Chris continued to expand Trion within Marsh, from which he retired in 2021. Chris strongly believes in the ability of businesses to create lasting value within their communities and is a partner in SHIFT Ventures and Conscious Venture Lab, both of which focus on transforming capitalism into a force for good in society. He also partners with his wife Meg in Life’s Patina Company, an experiential vintage retail and bespoke special event business.
Chris holds an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University and a BA from Catholic University of America (“CU”). He currently serves on the Board of Trustees at CU as well as on the Board of Visitors for CU’s Busch School of Business. He was previously on the Board of Directors for the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia and the Board of Trustees for the Montgomery School in Chester Springs, PA.
